The night lords kill team was purchased to complement a Warhammer Quest Blackstone Fortress set. I like adding value to these sets by adding a hand full of miniatures, allowing the collection to be used in various games. In this case: Kill Team and Necromunda.

Since the classic color scheme is too cheesy for my taste and I intended to paint the Night Lords in the same colours like the entire set of villains of the Blackstone Fortress set, I drew inspiration from the Blackstone Fortress and Kill Team Gallowdark art. Similar to my Van Saar, the scheme evolves around teal, dark blue and a contrasting orange-red lighting from below. The metals got a few parts of blue mixed into them, much like all the other colours, even the red cloth. This is to base them in a dim, cold environmental lighting, which intensifies the contrast with those parts, touched by the red source lighting from below.
