Kill Team is one of those game formats, that highly appeal to me as a painter. The amount of models required is fairly low, with it being a skirmish scale game. The teams are varied and interesting to paint up and Games Workshop does a great job in supporting the teams and being transparent with their business intentions a few years in advance.
With the release of Gallowdark and its reskin Tombworld, tense fights in the winding corridors of a space hulk, sip or Necrom tomb complex respectively, became a favorite amongst players.
The Imperial Navy Breachers and Kroot were two teams, that appealed to me in their unique look. The former, heavily inspired by 1950/60s aesthetics, with their diving gear styling, the latter with some undeiable “Predator” esthetics and overall great evolution of the Kroot design in general.
I went for a complementary paint scheme, that made it easy to differntiate the two teams on the board, yet unifying them as being part of the same set/game board.
Commission insight
These teams were painted to the level “Basic”, with zenithal lighting, complex undercoating for rich and deep colours, as well as basic highlighting and lighting effects.
